US News conducted surveys in six disciplines in the fall of 2018 for rankings calculated and published in 2019. Respondents were:
177 schools and public health programs accredited by the Board of Education for Public Health (response rate: 40%). This is a change from previous classifications, which included only public health schools. This change to include both schools and programs was based on a recommendation from the public health accreditation body, which also provided services in the United States. Schools listed in the health classifications published in 2016 with a score below 2.0 are listed as unpublished classifications or RNP.
